This special property has been passed between friends for generations. We were engaged when the latest family needed to accommodate their two small children and guests. To make the most of every inch and maintain a sense of calm and ease, the design looked to scandinavian inspired aesthetics while remaining true to its Maine roots.

Stunning visual sight lines were emphasized to both celebrate the beautiful Carrabassett Valley and to create a greater sense of spaciousness in the efficient cabin. This theme of openness was continued with the use of glass to create a sense of separation and seclusion in the primary bedroom without blocking the light or the view.
